Natalie Scarlett had her baptism on Friday! This little girl is sooo smart and pays such good attention to everything we teach. We visited her everyday before her baptism and the day before we invited everyone to come wearing pink, her favorite color . It was so pretty and it made it very special when she saw everyone.
Jeje also, we had a mouse in our house this week. My comp, Elder Ord, was sweeping behind his bed and the little thing came running out. We got the brooms and tried pushing it outside the room but it ended up going into the fan behind my bed, while it was on and got wrecked. Jk it wasn’t on, but I moved and got on top of the bed (while Elder Ord was recording) and tried hitting it until it ran out. It ended up leaving and ran into my bathroom. I’d send the video, but it’s on Elder Ords camera and we’re screaming like little girls. Basically, what I’m trying to say is that the video got deleted somehow and now no one will ever be able to hear it or see it again.
Anyways. We closed the door to the bathroom so it wouldn’t get out and called our landlord. He brought his cat and chucked it in there. 5 seconds later we hear the cat screaming and then a peaceful silence . Bye bye .
Saturday, we had an activity with the youth in our ward where they came knocking on doors with us. It was an interesting experience. (Side story) Living in front of a soccer court for almost 6 months, having teens play soccer outside our house every night I’ve picked up on basically every single swear word in the books (back to the story) Well, with my group of 2 adults, 2 youth and I, we were walking in the streets and I say, “good afternoon” to this guys sitting outside his house. Well, I guess it wasn’t his day, because he comes swinging at me with just about every single swear word I’ve heard. Definitely caught me off guard jeje. Other than that, I was able to show the 2 kids in our ward a little of the mission life.
Best news I heard this week:
We had a lesson with Gerson and Jorge and their Mom Rosa this week, and they told us that their dad now is letting them get baptized! After the many prayers and fasting from me and my companions, members in the ward, and even prayers from my little brother Adrian (who plays Fortnite with them every now and then, even though they don’t speak the same language), they finally will be able to get baptized!!!
