Hey everyone! We’ve had some pretty exciting things happen in these past weeks.
2 weeks ago, Daniel (one of the only 4 teens we have in our ward) put on his story a pic of him and his friends and we told him to invite them to our sports activities. This first Tuesday 4 of his friends came, then that Saturday 9, and now we have 14 nonmember kids coming to sports activities and English classes at the church. Tuesday and Saturdays we do sports activities like volleyball, basketball and soccer. Wednesdays we have English class. We had a pretty good turnout. 7 of Daniel’s friends showed up and after the class we played a very fun American game called bean boozled. If you don’t know what it is, look it up, then buy it. Highly recommend. They’re all a great bunch of kids, and we’ve been able to get to know them quite well.
Also, we’ve been teaching Wendy, a little 9 year old girl that’s super silly. She’s come to church with her grandma quite a few times, and we’re hoping to set up a baptismal service for her very soon.
This week we had an absolutely amazzzzing experience. We visited Alexis and Marlene, siblings that live in a little pueblo 15 minutes from where we live. We found them about 3 weeks ago, but have never been able to find them at home when we visit their house. Welllll, Thursday we found them and had an amazing lesson. After sharing the lesson about the Restoration of the Church and about the Book of Mormon, we ask them if they had any questions, doubts, comments, (chistes, jk) and Alexis begins to share with us his experience that he had that same day in the morning. It went something a little like this…in the morning he was feeling really down so he went outside to, “soak up some yummy sun”. Anyways, after being out for a bit, he says a prayer and after finishing in, he had the impression that he was going to receive a book that would help him. (obviously, you know where this is going) Later that day, Stafford and I pop up at their door and toss him a Book of Mormon. Boom prayer answered the same day. Super cool experience.
