Week 40

21 March 2022

Hey everyone, hope you all had a great week.

This week was awesome! Wednesday, we had an activity for the kids (12-17) at church where 2-3 kids went with a pair of missionaries, contacting on the streets trying to share messages 😀.

It was the funniest 2 hours of the week. Gerson and Jorge (the two young chaps we’re teaching) wanted to come with us. This was awesome. We showed them how to contact people in their houses and everything. But the funniest part was when Gerson told us one of his “friends” (aka crush) lived close to where we were. He showed us where she lived, and we told him that as we passed, we wouldn’t knock on her door. We knocked on her door.

This boy literally ran faster than I’ve ever seen him run hahaha. He ran to the corner as the dad opened the door. He wasn’t interested, so we left and went to the corner of the street where Gerson was waiting. Then a few seconds later, his crush and her dad come out of the house and Gerson sees her so he tells his brother to come with him to a little store to buy a coke. It was not this kid’s day, because his crush went to the exact same store and waited in line right behind him. He was trying to hide his face the entire time. And of course, just like any normal brother would do, his brother Jorge turns around (Elder Hernández and I weren’t close enough to hear what happened but, Jorge) points to her and makes Gerson turn around hahahaha. Then they both come running back to us. This was like a scene from a cheesy movie that I got to witness. Crazy stuff.

Thursday, all the missionaries in the coast traveled to Oaxaca for a conference with Elder Ochoa of the Seventy. He’s amazing and has the best stories. It was so great to be able to hear His powerful testimony of Jesus Christ.

Okie dokie gotta go. Chao
