Week 28

27 Dec 2021

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a great Christmas! This week was awesome and full of more miracles!
Tuesday was amazing. Me and Elder Rosier were heading to our last lesson of the day up in Cerro Alto, and when we got there they weren’t there, oof. We turned around and began walking another 30 minutes back home. As we were walking home in the dark, we saw a lady (Manuela)  filling up her buckets with water. We stopped by and asked her if she needed help. The first time she said that she was fine. The second time she asked if we needed to be anywhere, the third time she said okay 👌.  She was only filling up one, so once it was filled, my comp grabbed it and we walked to her house. She lives in the middle of nowhere, so we walked for about 15 minutes. It was great though because she asked us what we did as missionaries and we got to tell her everything. Once we got to her house, she told us to sit down. It was so humbling. She has nothing. Just aluminum boards covering the sides and the top. We had a great unplanned lesson and she asked me to say a prayer before we left. Once I finished the prayer, I looked up and she was in tears.
She told us that she normally doesn’t collect water on Tuesdays, but she just happened to be there and we just happened to pass by at that exact time. One of the best experiences I’ve had.
On Christmas Eve, we went to our bishops house and helped them clean and paint their house. Also, for Christmas Eve, our bishopric gave our food and drinks to those who needed it. We grabbed the food and drinks and took them to Manuela and her son. She wasn’t there but her son was and he looked very happy. They’re so awesome. We then headed to our bishops house for dinner and had a great party.
Saturday, was Christmas and we got together with our district and made cookies, played games, and all ate together. This Sunday we walked to her house and picked her and her son up and went to church together!
